Terms
Last updated 18 October 2026 · Sunserif is a studio of Fifth Suit Strategies LLC · Mandeville, LA
These are the terms of a Sunserif website subscription, and of using this site. They're written in plain language on purpose. "We" is Sunserif, operated by Fifth Suit Strategies LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company. "You" is the business that subscribes.
The plans
There are three: Presence, Growth and Studio. What each includes, and what it costs, is on the pricing page. The price shown when you subscribe is your price for the whole minimum term. After that we give 30 days' written notice before any change.
Presence and Growth need no call: pick the plan and check out. Studio is built to scope, so it starts with a short scope call and a written quote; that quote, once you accept it, is part of these terms.
What you pay, and when
- $0 down. There is no build fee. The build is included in the subscription.
- Your subscription starts the day you check out, and that day is your billing day each month. Payment is by card through Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Pay a year up front and you get two months free (ten months' price for twelve).
- If a payment fails we retry and write to you. If it stays unpaid for 30 days we may pause edits, monitoring and hosting management until it's settled. The site stays yours throughout.
- Prices don't include sales tax where it applies, or third-party costs in your name (below).
The six-month minimum
Every plan has a six-month minimum from the day you subscribe. That's what makes $0 down possible: the build is paid for across the first six months. After month six you are month-to-month and can stop whenever you like.
If you need to stop inside the minimum, the remaining months of the minimum are still due, on the original schedule or at once if you prefer. Write to us first — we'd rather talk.
What you own
Everything. The domain is registered in your name, the hosting runs on your accounts, the code lives in a repository you control, and the content is yours. This is permanent, from day one — not a buyout option.
- All rights in the site we deliver for you are yours. The only exceptions are third-party items that come under their own licences (fonts, stock images, plugins, platform software), and the general tools, know-how and templates we use across every build.
- We hold operator access to your accounts so we can do the work. When the subscription ends we hand over anything we still hold within 14 days and remove our access.
- We may put a small "Site by Sunserif" credit in the footer and show the work in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't, and we won't.
Edits
An edit request is a change to what exists: copy, images, hours, prices, a new section on an existing page. New pages or features beyond your plan's scope get a flat quote first, in writing.
- Presence: two edit requests a month, shipped within a few business days. Unused requests don't roll over.
- Growth: unlimited edit requests, shipped within 48 hours of a complete request, on business days.
- Studio: unlimited edit requests, priority, shipped within 24 hours of a complete request, on business days.
A request is complete when it has everything we need to do it (the words, the image, the new price). Send requests from your client room or by email to hello@sunserif.design.
Hosting and care
Hosting, SSL, backups and monitoring are included. We set them up on your accounts, watch them, and fix what breaks. We are not the hosting company: the platforms your site runs on (for example the host, the CDN, the domain registrar) have their own terms and their own outages, and we can't promise against those — but we'll be the ones on it.
Third-party costs stay in your name: domain registration, and platform fees if your plan uses e-commerce or booking software. Custom web applications are separate engagements, quoted on scope.
Kickoff and launch
Every plan starts with a kickoff. Presence sites typically go live within a week of kickoff; Growth and Studio depend on scope, and we publish a launch date at kickoff and hit it. We need your content, logins and sign-offs on time to do that; when they're late, the launch date moves with them, and the subscription runs from checkout regardless.
Your content and conduct
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you give us (text, images, logos, product information), and that nothing on the site will be unlawful, deceptive or infringing. We can decline work that is. You're responsible for the accuracy of what the site says about your business.
Cancelling
After the minimum, cancel any time by writing to hello@sunserif.design or from your client room. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. Then: the site keeps running without us, on your accounts; we hand over anything we still hold within 14 days; edits, monitoring and reports stop. There are no exit fees.
Limits
We do careful work and stand behind it, and we're also a small studio, so the limits are plain. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, lost business), or for the acts or outages of third-party platforms. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the subscription is capped at the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim. Nothing here limits what can't be limited under law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Louisiana, after we've both tried to sort it out by talking first.
This site, and the audits
The content of sunserif.design is ours and is informational; it isn't advice. We publish website audits of local businesses, based on what any visitor can see on the public web. They are our professional opinion at the time we looked. If you are the business and want your audit corrected or taken down, write to us and we will.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. Material changes are emailed to subscribers 30 days ahead and apply from your next billing day after that. Questions: hello@sunserif.design.
